Withdrawls
My name is Mel-Lee and I am an nicotineholic. That is how everyone that I know who are non smokers make me feel. What jerks! Right now, I feel as if I am going to DIE. WTF!!!! I am on Chantix, which is supposed to help with withdrawals symptoms, yet it is blocking all of my nicotine receptors so that even when I smoke, I STILL DO NOT GET THE NICOTINE. Going through withdrawals, night sweats, chills, and feeling like my insides are going to be ripped out. It is like being on antabuse and drinking with the severe sickness. Okay, there is my bitch of the day.

Stay strong MLee! Don't give up.
ReplyDeleteI would not take the Chantix. I think it makes it worse.

Doctor D, I will and I am working on it. 24 hours down:) just a whining moment. I could not even imange what those feel like from heavy medication withdrawal.
ReplyDeleteAnonymous, Thank you. I have tried many times and so far this is the closest that I have come to. No mood changes, just dreams. I expect the withdrawal, just thought it would be a little easier with the Chantix. I have been a smoker since I was 12, now I am 33 almost 34. It is not going to be easy, but eventually, I will win my battle with the almighty cigarette.
Good for you! I practiced quitting till it stuck. That was 27 years ago and I assure you I do not miss smoking at all.
ReplyDeleteIt was not easy, it was hell but it WAS worth it.
6 days with 1 cig in the morning and 1 after dinner. still working on it. Thinking that diet and quitting smoking would be a great idea together. Husband suggest that every time I wanted or he wanted a cig than we practice alternative husband and wife activities.... definitely a guy idea:)
